**Q: Does anyone know how long the hose is because my dryer is stacked on top of my washing machine**
A: So is mine. And I've got my pipe running across the back of a dble drainer sink unit in a laundry room, ample length.

A: My vent is on the front and this fits as the other fitted which I put out the window. It isn’t as efficient as putting out the window as there is still quite a bit of condensation. I’ve tried with and without freezer blocks in. Not totally useless but less effective than I’d been led to believe. When this machine needs replacing I’ll definitely go back to a condenser tumblr dryer

**Q: The opening in our creda tumble dryer is too large for the hose, and the box came without instructions.   Has anybody got any ideas?**
A: I had the same problem. I think we need an adapter but I havent got round to sorting yet. Not really very happy with it but cheap I suppose you cant hope for too much except for something to work or be warned in advance

**Q: How much water should there be in the box? do i put the same amount on each side? does it have to be on the floor or can i put it on the top of the dr**
A: It says in the description 1.5 inches of water. I imagine this has plenty of leeway anyway. The water is to cool the hot, damp air coming out of the dryer so the colder the water in the condenser the better it will condense.
I imagine it will work OK on top of the machine but I think there will be a high chance of moisture inside the exhaust building up and returning to the dryer which I can't imagine doing much good. So, based on that theory, aiming the exhaust directly down should give best results.

This is a great bit of kit and works really well. We purchased it as we have just recently had an extension and no longer had the ability to vent our tumbler dryer. Faced with replacing what was a nearly machine or trying a cheap quick fix, we decided on the latter. There were lots of mixed reviews but still thought it was worth a bash. It was generally easy to put together, I did deduct a star as I dont think the zipties are enough to hold in place we used a metal hose clip to secure to dryer. It was also very tricky attaching the hose to the lid but once on and secured, it holds well. We also purchased a longer hose (2m) as the supplied hose didnt work in our configuration. We turned it on lots of hot air blew out and nothing else. We were very disappointed. It was then we noticed on the packaging that you need to fill the tub with around 2cm of cold water to help with the condensing. This made more sense and we wondered how we missed this instruction, it is on the box but its not particularly clear. From then on we haven't looked back. We ensure its really cold water, sometimes use ice. Change the water out after each use and we have had no issues with steam, condensation etc.. I wonder if others have missed this step and that's why its not working? So in summary, use cold water and additional hose clips. Other than that saved us having to replace entire machine.
