Any ideas?** A: Hi there, In regards to this issue you would have to eliminate the fault from all sources in the chain. I would say check your cable to make sure the cable is not a directional cable (if it is set it the correct way), make sure everything is turned on and the crossover on your subwoofer is not set to the minimum. If your sub still is producing no sound it could either be that the cable has a fault, the sub has a fault or the VA4 have a fault. If you have the cable connected to the subwoofer I would suggest having the sub at a low level and just tap the end of the subwoofer lead to see if there is a hum. If there is not a hum the fault would be with the lead or the sub. If there is a hum then the fault would be with the VA4. To see if it is the cable I would try a different lead and if you are still experiencing issues I would try using the lead with the RA4 RCA inputs and try tapping the lead to see if you are getting a hum. If you are getting a hum then the cable will have no fault and this would leave the fault with the subwoofer. Which Ever is at fault I would suggest contacting the dealer who you purchased the product off and get them to confirm the fault and get the product back for repair. Are mine faulty or is this common?** A: Could be faulty or maybe it actually is picking up interference from something near by. Try moving it to another location, if it still occurs, send it back. Mine is very clear on all inputs I have tried (BT, OPT & RCA) **Q: Hi, can I connect a powered hifi to these speakers?** A: These speakers are active so only require a "line level" signal source. The output of an amplifier is too high for the input to these speakers. Look at the terminals on the back of your hi-fi which you want to connect to these and if it says something like "Speaker impedance 4-16 ohms" then these speakers cannot be used as they will be damaged. **Q: what are the dimensions and what cables are provided please.** A: They come with power cables and the speaker cable to connect both speakers. Bonus to be able to connect TV, Bluetooth devices, I-pod and basically any other piece of equipment as well (CD, Tapedeck etc) using the variety of inputs.(I had only one tiny problem during set up - I didn't press the volume button in as you need to do to activate the audio connection - it isn't entirely explicit in the user manual, but I wouldn't mark it down because of that though.)It was brillliant getting rid of my poor old speakers, I-pod dock, external amp and various leads and now I just have a very simple but effective set up. Wish I had got them earlier. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Solid with caveats. *by H***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 September 2019* Okay, I have had these for over 2 years now and I feel like I can give a fair rundown of why these speakers polarise reviewers.The sound is good, flat even at default settings which is exactly what I want. You can get great lows and highs with some tweaks with the remote or with APO on a PC which is my preferred method of EQing. The build quality is about what you would expect at this price point, not incredible but pretty solid. The USB port on the back is really handy and I use it constantly. The bluetooth function is pretty much useless. It has an awful noise/crackle which is a known problem with bluetooth but has been solved in much cheaper devices. The remote has kept working just fine but there will definitely be a problem in the long term with Roth not making available replacements for sale on their website and apparently ignoring anyone who enquires about it, this is seriously bad, there are no control buttons on the speakers themselves for the bass/treble so once this remote dies you are S.O.L.Overall these speakers fit my niche perfectly - I EQ externally, I don't need the bluetooth function, they are white and are cheap.
