Comes with spare needles which is nice. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Helpful tool but wouldn’t say it’s essential *by D***C on 4 September 2025* Not essential but at the price of around £12 at the time of purchase, it’s worth the try as it’s is super helpful! This WDT tool has been a valuable addition to my espresso preparation routine. The build quality is excellent, and the prongs feel sturdy and well made. It distributes ground coffee evenly across the basket, which helps reduce channeling and leads to a more consistent extraction. The tool comes with spare prongs, which is very practical and reassuring for long-term use. After making two coffees a day for over a month, the original prongs have not needed replacing and show no sign of wear, which speaks to their durability. The only small challenge I have experienced is returning the tool to its holder. The prongs can be hard to see against the silver base, and if they are not aligned properly when inserting, they can catch on the outside and bend slightly. This is something to be mindful of, but with a bit of care, it is easily avoided.
