We had to use this as a temporary solution for our scarlet macaw for a few nights and it was far too small even just for sleeping and the cage is far to thin and wirey for them. This would really house anything bigger than a Lorikeet over night. **Q: Does stand come off and the gym part** A: It is screwed on however the wooden perch comes off to clean it. **Q: Does this come ready assembled, or have you got to assemble yourself?** A: You have to assemble it youself, it comes with a few different size screws however i found the instructions to be a bit unhelpful as it doesn't really tell you which screws go where, so it took me a while to figure it out. Its a decent cage once assembled though, i haven't had any problems with it. Hope this helps. **Q: How do you remove food bowls** A: Doors open from the outside so you can swing them open to get to the bowls that are just slotted into a ring. Very easy. Overall we are really happy with the cage and the quality is the same as some we have seen in pet shops for twice the price.The only issue is the instructions are not clear at all, it seemed to show it using the same size bolts being used connecting the back and front to the bottom part of the sides (two per connection) but one is nut and bolt and the other the bolt screws in to the side part.Only other small drawback is the bowls are quite deep so smaller birds my find it hard to get at their food unless you completely fill it. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars Few faults. *by S***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 30 September 2020* Its not a bad cage - but few faults:In the beginning, the bottom shields do not attach at all. My african grey was strong enough to lift the top and almost got his head stuck. I put my parakeet init and had np untill it came to moving the cage and the top lifted off. I fitted 100% right and made no mistake,, it wasnt my first rodeo. An almost identical cage i had already put together had a bolted on top as expected and the sides was just as thick and strong as the front and back. The sides are very weak bars and easily cheap, flimsy and easily bent by my parakeet. Last thing is even if the top was fixed it is still too small for a macaw and would never be able to open its wings inside. Medium sized cockatoo and smaller for a cage this size but remember my previous comment, the top is not fixed and only parakeets are not strong enough to lift the top and get head stuck.
