In the course of time, the KOH-I-NOOR pencils managed to achieve great success at a number of world exhibitions. The products were awarded in many world exhibitions, to name a few, 1855 in New York, 1856, 1900 and 1925 in Paris, 1862 in London, 1882 in Vienna and 1905 in Milan. Box Contains progresso pencils Review: Not watercolour, opaque and staining, but an excellent, cheap alternative to Inktense. - I already own the impressive 72 Mondeluz set and the non soluble Progresso's so was curious to see how these sticks performed. I had hoped that they were like the Mondeluz - but bigger- so was surprised to find that these worked very differently. They are opaque, highly staining and look more like ink or gouache when wetted. This makes them perform more like Derwent's Inktense than a watercolour. I found they laid down smoothly and quickly, were highly pigmented and wore down slowly . The coating keeps your hands clean, they dissolve easily and there is little colour shift from wet to dry. They work really well on black paper - see photo- and seem good for design and mixed media. 16 have 4 or 5 star ratings for colour fastness on a scale of 1-5, which is roughly the same as Inktense, and you get about three times more pigment for your money than with them. I liked using these, enjoying the ability to quickly lay down large areas of colour smoothly and feel the texture and range of colours is good. Bearing in mind that these are not watercolour pencils, I would recommend these as a preferable and economical alternative to Inktense. Review: LOVE THEM! - Love, love, love them! I have the koh I noor mondeluz 72 wood pencils and the 12 progresso woodless pencils (see my other reviews) and I have wanted these for ages and decided to splash out and buy them and they are sooo worth it. They are soft, give fabulous colour that is vibrant and almost ink like, there is no scratchiness, very smooth and a good range of colours including reds that are actually red and not orange! They come in a good solid tin with two layers inside. The only fault is that there isn't a bigger set! ## Features - GREAT PRESENTATION PACK - KOH-I-NOOR WORLD FAMOUS PROGRESSO RANGE - KOH-I-NOOR HARDTMUTH a.s. is one of the world leaders in the production and distribution of first-rate stationery for artists, schools and offices, using 100% FSC wood. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00N5MSCL4 | | Age Range Description | Kid | | Age range (description) | Kid | | Artistic Charcoal Form | Compressed Charcoal | | Best Sellers Rank | 172,553 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 798 in Coloured Pencils for Adults | | Body Shape | Round | | Brand | Koh-I-Noor | | Brand Name | Koh-I-Noor | | Closure Type | Click-Off Cap | | Colour | multicolour | | Country Of Origin | Czech Republic | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 220 Reviews | | Drill Point | woodless | | Global Trade Identification Number | 08593539143956 | | Grip Type | Contoured | | Hardness | HB | | Included Components | Set of 48 pencils | | Ink Base | Water | | Ink Colour | Multicolor | | Ink colour | Multicolor | | Is the Product Left or Right Handed? | Ambidextrous | | Item Diameter | 7.6 Millimetres | | Item Dimensions | 15.3 x 0.8 x 0.8 centimetres | | Item Weight | 11 Grams | | Line Size | 0.7mm | | Manufacturer | KOH-I-NOOR | | Material | Colored pencil lead | | Material Type | Colored pencil lead | | Model Name | Progresso | | Model Number | 8786048001PL | | Recommended Uses For Product | drawing, sketching, colouring, watercolour techniques | | Special Features | Feine | | Style | Contemporary | | Theme | Aquarelle | | Unit Count | 48.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Writing Instrument Form | Colored Pencil | | Writing Technique | crayon | | Writing instrument form | Colored Pencil | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Adult - **Brand:** Koh-I-Noor - **Color:** multicolour - **Ink Color:** Assorted - **Writing Instrument Form:** Colored Pencil ## Images ![KOH-I-NOOR Progresso Woodless Aquarell Coloured Pencils (Set of 48) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8111gZYlvmS.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not watercolour, opaque and staining, but an excellent, cheap alternative to Inktense. *by L***R on 5 October 2020* I already own the impressive 72 Mondeluz set and the non soluble Progresso's so was curious to see how these sticks performed.
