I use it after vacuuming and it shows what you’re leaving behind. As it says, it doesn’t work on very short piling but you only need a bit of a pile for it to grip. What can happen is the release button for the collection chamber can be pressed while in use if you have to apply more pressure for it to work but in relation to how effective it is it’s not a problem.
