A: Its a thick material.  I just wiped it down with a damp cloth after a trip to the beach.

A: Call Amazon the customer service is great.

**Q: How do you wash this bag?**
A: The label has no washing instructions, but it does state, "no bleach, no tumble dry, no dry cleaning, & no iron".  So I would wash it in cold water and line dry it.
