Review: Good for Infrequent, Light Use - It is very good for what it is, an aluminum, telescoping ladder. I always read negative reviews to look for patterns - using it improperly or expecting a different product pretty much covers them. It does not feel like a rigid extended ladder without joints that create flex points. It is fine for occasional light jobs. I'm not sure I would want to use it for an extended painting job, but that seems feasible. It's a trade off: Rent a heavier duty ladder if you have a way to get it home. With the cost of renting a truck, this was my better option. I'm over 65. I went up to change a very high lightbulb. (Yay LEDs, won't need to do that again for years.) We followed the safety tips I include below. My mechanic daughter checked it out and made sure it was properly opened and braced. Then we figured out she was on the wrong side to climb it on the small area of the stair landing, so up I went. Safety first. At the highest points it helps to have someone holding and bracing. Extend the ladder upward starting at the bottom, make sure each rung is locked by looking for the indicator to change to green and put some pressure on it to make sure it is fully engaged. Lower the ladder slowly and do not put your fingers in between the rungs. Hold this from the outside and exert pressure to slide the rung down after releasing the lever.
