Designed for children aged 18 months to 4 years, this no-pedal training bike helps boys and girls develop balance, coordination, and motor skills that prepare them for a traditional bicycle. The Cub’s low step-through steel frame allows easy on-and-off access, while its lightweight design makes handling effortless for little riders. The adjustable seat and handlebars grow with your child, providing lasting use as they gain strength and confidence. Featuring puncture-proof airless tires, the Retrospec Cub eliminates the worry of flats and maintenance, making it ideal for indoor and outdoor play. Its soft, ergonomic grips and comfort saddle ensure a secure and gentle ride. Unlike tricycles or training wheels, this toddler balance bike encourages natural balance development by teaching toddlers to propel themselves forward and stop safely using their feet. Crafted from high-tensile steel for outstanding durability, the Cub is safety tested to meet CPSC and CPSIA standards. Assembly is quick and tools-free, so your little one can start gliding in minutes. The Retrospec Cub is the perfect first bike—simple, sturdy, and designed to inspire a lifelong love of cycling adventure. ## Features - EARLY LEARNING DESIGN: This Retrospec balance bike for toddlers 1–3 and 2–4 years features an easy mount frame that builds confidence and coordination as kids learn to glide independently. - GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD: Adjustable seat height from 11 to 14.5 inches and quick-release handlebars adapt as your child grows, making this one of the most versatile toddler girl toys available - MAINTENANCE FREE TIRES: Airless, puncture-proof tires deliver smooth, stable rides across pavement, grass, and dirt paths while preventing flat tire hassles, so adventures stay fun and worry-free - SAFETY FIRST ENGINEERING: This Retrospec bike features rounded edges, non-slip grips, and a low center of gravity for superior stability while keeping your child secure and protected during rides - DURABLE CONSTRUCTION: Built from lightweight yet sturdy materials, this toddler bike withstands countless adventures while remaining easy for small riders to maneuver independently ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BRLC86MS | | Additional Features | Adjustable Seat | | Age Range (Description) | Little Kid | | Age Range Description | Little Kid | | Best Sellers Rank | #20,766 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #35 in Kids' Balance Bikes | | Bike Type | Balance Bike | | Brake Style | Coaster | | Brand | Retrospec | | Brand Name | Retrospec | | Color | Navy | | Customer Reviews | 4.8 out of 5 stars 599 Reviews | | Frame Material Type | Alloy Steel | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00840216311497 | | Included Components | Balance Bike | | Item Type Name | balance bike | | Manufacturer | Retrospec | | Maximum Weight Recommendation | 50 pounds | | Minimum User Height | 11 inches | | Model Name | Retrospec Cub Kids Balance Bike No Pedal Bicycle - Beginner Toddler Bike - Steel Frame & Air-Free Tires - Girls & Boys 2-5 Years | | Model Number | Retrospec Cub Balance Bike | | Number Of Speeds | 1 | | Number of Handles | 1 | | Number of Speeds | 1 | | Power Source | Manual power | | Seat Material | Plastic | | Size | One Size | | Skill Level | Beginner | | Specific Uses For Product | Road | | Style Name | Cub 2 | | Suspension Type | Rigid | | Theme | Children's Outdoor Activities | | UPC | 840216311497 | | Warranty Description | Limited Warranty | | Warranty Type | Limited | | Wheel Material | Plastic | | Wheel Size | 12 inches | ## Product Details - **Age Range (Description):** Little Kid - **Bike Type:** Balance Bike - **Brand:** Retrospec - **Color:** Navy - **Frame Material:** Alloy Steel - **Included Components:** Balance Bike - **Number of Speeds:** 1 - **Special Feature:** Adjustable Seat - **Suspension Type:** Rigid - **Wheel Size:** 12 inches ## Images ![Retrospec Cub Toddler 12" Balance Bike, 18 Months - 3 Years Old, No Pedal Beg... - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Vs94j+eDL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Where is this bike made?** A: Retrospec bikes are made in China. **Q: Is this too small for a 40" tall child?** A: The seat and handle bar are both adjustable, but it would be best to check the bike specs in the listing for measurements. **Q: Seat material** A: Plastic wrapped in a vinyl with a little padding. **Q: Can you put pedals on it?** A: I don’t think so.
