Maximum weight is 150kg (23st 8lb) as confirmed by talking to the UK supplier (Glebe Healthcare) who designed these crutches with the French manufacturer (HMS Vilgo).These are my second attempt at crutches, the first pair (Aidept Pink) were incorrectly labeled, they only take 100kg. These have the highest maximum weight of any regular (i.e. not bariatric) crutches that I have found both on Amazon and other sites, at a fantastic price.On initial inspection, it appears that there are only three pairs of height adjustment holes in the stem of the crutch. However, the height adjustment mechanism is a little different from the standard NHS crutches. Rather than using a spring with ball bearings at each end on the lower part of the crutch with the ferrule which slides inside the main crutch stem, these use a sturdy plastic clip with a metal dowel that acts like a cotter pin. As such, the bottom part of the crutch has a number of pairs of holes about 1-2 cms apart, and you line these up with one of the external pairs, depending upon the height adjustment required.The powder coating seems smooth and well applied, the colour is vivid and the open cuff feels sturdy, even with my not-inconsiderable weight against them. I'd recommend gel pads for the palms, as with all crutches, because it takes only a little use to blister your palms using any crutch, but the handle is noticeably softer than on NHS standard ones.The pivoting ferrule feels a little odd initially, but I imagine that will become less noticeable with time.All in all, a great purchase and I'm very happy with these. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very helpful.. *by N***. on 26 September 2019* The media could not be loaded. Hey , my wife ordered these because she is learning to walk again with a prosthetic leg and has rheumatoid arthritis her wrists don't bend so the NHS grey standard ones are painful with no support really , these have a sturdy plastic under side of the handle and soft silicone top of the handle and really help her hands , the bottoms of them are sturdy but will adjust to any surface like a slope or hard lumpy floor and are non slip ,Also I've seen people complain there is not enough height options with only 2 holes , BUT THERE IS MORE THEN THAT BUT THERE ARE ON THE INSIDE POLE YOU SIMPLY MOVE THE POLE INSIDE UP OR DOWN TO THE HEIGHT YOU NEED , for example my wife is 5ft 7" and has it on the top first hole of the inside pole with the top hole of the put side pole (I hope that's understandable) I'm 5ft 10" and that was also comfortable for me also I adjusted it to the Highest it was way to big for me and the Lowest was way to short so there is plenty of wiggle room for height adjustments..The blue colour is lovely as well :-) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ description spot on *by C***Y on 26 September 2019* I am 5'7" and extended the crutches to full length, if you are taller than me then these crutches are not for you. I liked the modern design and colour as do not want the silver NHS crutches which I had to return anyway. Because my mobility comes and goes its good to have a pair for when I need them.
