Could it be that it contains lead?** A: I searched for this cup before I found it on Amazon.com, I did measure the quantities and found them accurate. It is quite heavy but I particularly wanted a measure that didn't have markings that fade when put in the dishwasher. And are they easy to read?** A: I find them as easy to read as the painted markings found on other measuring cups. It has RAISED markings on the exterior of the cup. They are permanent as they are part of the glass itself, not painted on.
