Toss in some brown rice and quinoa, and you have a nutritious, protein-packed meal (17 grams per serving) that will fuel all of your adventures at camp and beyond. We never skimp on the spices either — each mouthful will be jam-packed with flavor. “Cooking” your Three Sisters Stew requires boiling water and 15-20 minutes, so you’ll have plenty of time for your favorite camp activities. Ingredients PRECOOKED PARBOILED LONG GRAIN BROWN RICE, PRECOOKED DEHYDRATED BLACK BEANS, PRECOOKED QUINOA, FREEZE-DRIED SUPER SWEET CORN, DRIED GREEN HATCH CHILE PEPPER, DRIED TOMATO, FREEZE-DRIED ZUCCHINI, CHILI POWDER (CHILI PEPPER, CUMIN, SALT, OREGANO, GARLIC), SEA SALT, DEHYDRATED ONION, DRIED ROASTED GARLIC, CRYSTALLIZED LIME (CITRIC ACID, LIME OIL, LIME JUICE CONCENTRATE), BLACK PEPPER. I was with some seasoned backpackers and didn't have to feel second rate to their meals or preparedness. I didn't think to stir/mix it extremely well as it was rehydrating, so I got a lot of extra seasoning and spice at the bottom. I can imagine how much better it would have tasted if the flavor and kick would have been evenly distributed, but even at that, it really had a good taste. I probably could have let it rehydrate a bit longer, but I was hungry and didn't mind a little texture hahaha. I says two servings, but I definitely ate all of it in one sitting and it was not too much.

A: At 700 calories per package, this really is a meal for 1 if you have been hiking with a pack all day..... Haven't found eating the whole "meal for 2" package for a dinner a problem, along with whatever other snacks I brought along, and plan accordingly on a multi day hike

I got to go on my first backpacking trip recently and wasn't really sure what to get, turns out this was the right choice! I was with some seasoned backpackers and didn't have to feel second rate to their meals or preparedness. I didn't think to stir/mix it extremely well as it was rehydrating, so I got a lot of extra seasoning and spice at the bottom. I can imagine how much better it would have tasted if the flavor and kick would have been evenly distributed, but even at that, it really had a good taste. I probably could have let it rehydrate a bit longer, but I was hungry and didn't mind a little texture hahaha. I says two servings, but I definitely ate all of it in one sitting and it was not too much.

We pushed the "Easy Button" on our camping trip this past summer. Wow, did this change up our camping game! For a larger national park, like Olympic, Yellowstone, and Yosemite, these were very convenient when away from campsite and hangry! Just had these handy in the car with campstove, propane, and a kettle for boiling water and we could roam until our hearts content! Tasted great and ready in about 15 minutes. I would highly recommend you make a "reflectix cozy" for them. (Check out how to make them from Darwin on YouTube.) The reflectix cozy kept water and the food package contents hot for the duration of the recommended cook time. So, the ambient air doesn't cool off the water/food before cooking time is done. Super delicious! Super convenient!
