Not too big, not too small, gussets at the bottom, canvas straps that aren’t too long. I bought these as a crafting activity for my 8 yo and her friends and these are perfect for that. Now, if you are looking for something for groceries, move on, these are way too small and the strap is not long enough to sling over your shoulder. If you are looking for a teacher bag, keep looking (I am a teacher and these would be wasaaaaayyyyyy too small for my workload). But if you are looking for a bag for crafting or for decorating, I would def recommend these. These small canvas bags are PERFECT for me. They can each hold two 2-liter bottles, or a gallon milk jug perfectly. I now take about 6 of these and a couple larger canvas bags (for lighter stuff) with me to the store. They work great! When I received them, I washed them in a front-load washer on the gentle cycle in cold water, and dried them on low heat. They showed no noticeable shrinkage and had hardly a wrinkle in them.
