## Description

I've heard from so many of you who found last year's short burst exercises really worked for you. This year we have a brand new trainer and a brand new concept just for you.My lovely new Personal Trainer Ed Lumsden has created 10 new workouts to help you to tone up, get fit and fat burn we love a bit of fat burning and the most amazing thing...They're 7 minutes long. Woop woop. Now, I know what you're thinking 7 minutes!! What can you do in 7 minutes? The answer is a lot. We've been doing these workouts for the last few months and you just can't believe the difference you can make in 7 minutes. The workouts are tough, but the techniques Ed uses makes sure they are fun too. There's loads of variety... We have a boxing based routine, a tone and sculpt workout, not to mention The Ultimate Abs Workout (my fave!) And... for the first time on this programme, Ed has something new up his sleeve. He's going to put us all through our paces with the FITNESS CHALLENGE which allows you to track your progress each week. Also, the DVD is packed full of extras. There is a fabulous look behind the scenes, filmed at Ed's gym, showing us training for the DVD itself - as well as five separate tutorials where Ed explains and demonstrates with me how you can achieve the perfect technique when doing some of the exercises featured within the routines. The great thing about the 7 minute system is the more you progress the more you can do. The workouts are designed so you can put them together in different combos. One DVD, hundreds of workouts! They might be short sessions, but Ed's techniques get you maximum results in the shortest time possible.LOVE IT!!!!!! I hope you love it too!!Davina xx And with every purchase you receive a VIP code to access a free 5 week membership to Davina's brand new website offering a 100% personalised fitness and well-being programme to help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Review: Simple, effective workout - I've got several of Davina's other workout DVDs and I like them a lot, so I was interested what she would do with this one without Jackie and Mark, the trainers who have accompanied her until now. Fortunately this DVD gives you an excellent, no nonsense workout, which is what I'm always looking for. It's split into a number of different sections, all of which are seven minutes long, and the idea is that you mix and match them according to your preference. If you were really pushed for time, or you were exercising for the first time, you could start with just one, but to get any long-term benefit you'd want to be doing at least three or four sections a few times a week. Ed, the new trainer, clearly really knows his stuff and is very professional and knowledgeable, and also comes across as a nice, genuine sort of bloke. Davina is her usual massively enthusiastic self, which I know some people find annoying, but I can't help liking her; she is an excellent fitness role model with a very healthy approach that promotes fitness and good muscle tone rather than skinniness. She is also honest about when exercises will be tough and when your muscles will start to burn; unlike some celebrities in their fitness DVDs, she doesn't skip around like a show pony in full make-up pretending everything's easy while clearly not putting much effort in. The exercises are not at all complicated or gimmicky: they are are simple, effective, boot camp style exercises that don't require much coordination - there are no dance-type moves or long sequences to learn, and it's nice to see a return to old-school, effective fitness exercises after all the 'dance yourself fit' and zumba type workouts that are all over the place these days. I've seen a few reviews which suggest you won't break a sweat - I would say that you should break a sweat *if you put the effort in* and give each exercise as much intensity as you personally can. If you are used to exercising then yes, obviously you won't find it as a challenging as a complete beginner, but I would say that by putting *your* maximum effort in and by doing as many sections as you can find time for, you should certainly get a decent workout from this DVD. I've also seen reviews claiming that Ed doesn't talk you through the exercises enough, but in fact there is a useful section you can watch where he shows you the correct techniques for a lot of them, and the others are simple enough that you shouldn't *need* to be talked through them, frankly. The fact that you can tailor this DVD by combining as many different sections as you want really appeals to me, and of course you can fit in whatever you've got time for. Some days that might be one sections, other days it might be three or four or six or the whole DVD. It's ideal for people who are busy or get easily bored with doing exactly the same thing every day. My one complaint is that you can't fast-forward the ever-tedious, legally required disclaimer at the start that tells when you should/shouldn't exercise; this is frankly infuriating. But other than that, great.
Review: Another great DVD from Davina - I get bored very easily, and have found that I have become a little fed up with the DVD's before the next one comes out (have been buying Davina's for a few years now). This one is different due to the short sections that you can mix and match. I always do at least three, often do five of the sections in addition to the warm up and stretch. Its fab that you can do what ever time or your body dictates (I have a weak leg which plays up sometimes, so I cant do as much jumping about!). I can see this one entertaining me until the end of the year! Also, there is no complicated arm/leg movements so someone like me (two left feet, no co-ordination) can get along with it fine without getting frustrated at not being able to keep up with different movements. If you don't want to have to sit through the whole boring introduction, and can keep the dvd in the machine, just stop it before the end of the stretch, my DVD player give me the option of starting play from there as opposed to all the way back to the beginning. I presume this works on any section, as long as you don't stop it on the menu you can restart it from there.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Another great DVD from Davina

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Something for everyone - it's Fab!
*by J***N on 5 March 2015*

I have all Davina's DVD, and I particularly like the HIIT ones that she has produced the last few years. Although I miss Jackie and Mark on this DVD, Davina has sensibly picked a completely different type of fitness instructor, so that it doesn't feel 'wrong' without them! His style is straightforward, but friendly, and I really like the style of his sessions. Davina is (as ever) fab - works hard, clearly shows how to do all the exercises and makes time tick away with a bit of chatter. The actual sessions are brill - I am fairly fit, so find I am doing 5 of the 7 minute sessions at a time, and I am feeling and seeing the results after a few weeks. I think that less fit people won't be intimidated, as you can literally do 1 session or more, whatever suits you. I like the 7 minute format as each time I get the DVD out, I think "I'm pushed for time, I'll just do 2 sessions", but because they fly by so quickly, I end up ditching that excuse and look forward to choosing another, and before I know it, I've done 5! I agree with a previous reviewer that the intro is tedious and you can't skip through it - I put the DVD on and then go and get changed, by which time, the DVD is waiting for me to pick my session. You definitely need weights to get the most out of the sessions as well, so make sure you have some before you buy! This is a real winner.
