Specifically the probe became electronically disconnected from the rest of the device (perhaps an internal fuse?). So why the 5 stars? Because after 2 years the Vdiagtool folks still took care of it. Sure they asked a few questions and requested a short video demonstrating the problem but they were always prompt and professional and there was never any hint that they were giving me the run around. The replacement was sent quickly and they didn't make me go to the trouble of returning the defective unit.
