So many parenting books are heavily focused on the earlier years, and this was full of wisdom for the season I am entering into with my oldest, who will be 10 this year! There are so many discipleship opportunities through faith, character building, struggles, and outside influences at these ages that this book covers. It will guide you through setting a clear vision for your family and how to walk that out in different aspects of parenting. I also really, REALLY love that her husband includes a page to the dads at the end of each chapter. How often do we read parenting books as a mom, and then try to download everything to our husbands? I love that they included this. Each of her sons also take turns contributing a little of their perspective as well. I love this. It was so sweet to read, in their own words, how these things impacted them. I enjoyed this one, and I would recommend it for sure.
