It fits doors between 20mm and 40mm thick and is easy to install with secure internal fixing. ## Description Sleeves for depths: Panel fitting: 20 - 40 mm - suitable for a door thickness of 18 - 38 mm. fitting: 40 - 80 mm - suitable for a door thickness of 38 - 78 mm. Please see image second and third to check your measurement for which size letter box you require. A rounded ergonomic design with internal and external spring loaded flaps, they also incorporate a brush seal for draught improvement. A range of colour finishes is available and all are supplied with a black surround for improved UV stability. Finishing is either by powder coated paint in the case of white or anodising for all other colours except chrome (plated). This product is nice and sturdy once tightly screwed in place. I think it looks far better in the white finish, compared to my previous ‘gold’ version. It came very well-packaged in shrink-wrap and cardboard. Some previous reviewers have mentioned the screws being too long/unsuitable (wood screws) and I would agree with this observation, but I just used the two screws that were holding my old letterbox together and they worked perfectly. I also did not have any problems (like some other reviewers mention) with the colour. The item I received was perfectly white, not cream as some reviewers pictures show. I am also very happy that the visible surround is white too. The hidden inner parts are black. I would definitely recommend this item and I am very happy with my purchase and the price paid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Decent value for money I'd say. *by A***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 January 2017* Good for the price considering I was looking at basically the same product in Wickes that was twice the price. Took me 5 mins to fit and fitted the door fine. The screws that came with it were a little too long for the thickness of my door so I dug some screws out of a box in the garage that were just a tad smaller in length. Overall, it is what it is. Not sure how long the flaps will last but for just under a tenner I'm not going to complain. It's stopped the draft coming through that I had because one flap had fell off. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Love it *by M***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 April 2018* The letterbox came shrunk wrapped with two screws inside. My door is 1" thick and I've had problems in the past getting one to fit without additional bother.My previous B&Q letterbox required me to take a hacksaw to trim back the inner sleeve creating quite a mess.This letterbox didn't require any trimming, it fitted my 1" thick door perfectly.The screws screw into a plastic column which I suspect may make this a 'get it right first time' set up.The only difficulty I had was getting the screws tight enough. I would have been happier with another turn on the right hand screw but it is sufficient as it stands now.What I especially like is the ease that my postman seems able to put letters through and the general silence of its operation.I did adjustments for a previous letterbox unfortunately I removed a small 1mm x 2mm gap too much on one side. The outer edge of this letterbox seems slightly larger so hids my old blunder rather nicely.Generally for a tenner I'm very happy. I live close to the sea which may explain why the paint flaked off my old letterbox.
