Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers. Definitely not typical rubber that we all imagine like car tyres but under true definition of classification in today's standards, they are classed as rubber. The true definition is as above... TPE. I would very highly recommend these plugs as they are very durable unlike the common bakelite plugs which break when dropped.
