After following directions (sticker off/hot cycle), bottle was full/residue remained. Tips?** A: You need to run the hot water in the kitchen sink to purge the cold water out of the lines before starting the dishwasher. This ensures that only hot water is going into your dishwasher. Newer models do not heat up the water and rely on the water already being hot when it enters the dishwasher. COnsidering I have to run my water for over 3 minutes to get hot water at my kitchen sink, and the fill cycle on my dishwasher doesn't even last 1 minute, there will be no hot water in my dishwasher if I did not purge it of the cold water first. I am an appliance repair tech and this comes straight from manufacturers. This is the same as when you do dishes as well. Always purge the cold water from the hot water lines BEFORE starting the dishwasher.
