Review: Great little lights - I bought these Sanlumia 5W LED's to replace existing traditional 60W bulbs. Seven 4 bulb light units (= 28 bulbs) replaced the original seven 60W bulbs in a kitchen-diner. 28 x 5W = 140W now. Previously 7 x 60W = 420W. So energy saving is clear. My worry before the change was the possibility of leaving dark patches in our new kitchen. I shouldn't have worried. These bulbs have a 120 degree spread angle, and with 28 of them in adjustable holders, the light is spread evenly and completely. So I am very happy with this too. The light output is good, giving a good illumination. Another plus. The cool white version that I am using gives a very white light. Some might think it harsh, but I like it and it gives our white kitchen/black worktop/grey floor a very fresh feel. In summary, the energy efficiency and brightness both deserve five stars. I have only had them fitted for one and a half months so I cannot sensibly comment on bulb life. I gave four stars for longevity as I had to give a value (no tick box for "don't know yet"). So far none of them has gone dim or failed.

**Q: What colour do people recommend? I purchased cool white for our kitchen but find it too cool and clinical. Is warm white too yellowy? Thanks.**
A: These bulbs provide a bright white light rather akin to modern car headlights. The light is in no way yellowy. I would not describe the light as "warm", it is too bright for that description to be appropriate. I have these bulbs in a six-bulb light in my small kitchen and a four-bulb light in my small dining room which provide good overall illumination but not too bright. Hope this helps.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the individual bulbs?**
A: Diameter of front of bulb=50mm. Depth of cone=20mm. Diameter of neck=22mm. Depth of neck=22mm. Overall depth from front glass to tip of contacts=53mm.

**Q: the picture shows 5kwh per 1000h, that means 1 bulb will consume 5kwh x £0.34 over 1000h?**
A: Yes … in theory. Each ‘lamp’ is 5W, so 200 hours of constant use will use 1KWh (0.34p if that is your current rate). Compared to a conventional 100W bulb (if such things exist anymore!!) which would use the same energy is just 10 hours!
(Or in your figures above it would cost £1.70 for just under 42 days of constant use!)

**Q: which type of lamp provides a narrow beam for doorway access only**
A: If you want a narrow beam, you'll need the 35 degree beam angle version - check the specs. I have the 120 degree version which provide really good coverage (in my kitchen). Overall though I would highly recommend this brand to you - I've only had 1 failure in over 4 years of use ( and I have a lot of them fitted!)

I bought these Sanlumia 5W LED's to replace existing traditional 60W bulbs. Seven 4 bulb light units (= 28 bulbs) replaced the original seven 60W bulbs in a kitchen-diner. 28 x 5W = 140W now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sanlumia 5w GU10 LED 4000k... and yes they are super bright.

These are good lights and work well. I have found it difficult to work out what the most suitable replacement LED lamps were for the original GU10 50w lamps in our kitchen. These are certainly as bright if not brighter than those (I don't advise looking at them directly) and when you bear in mind the electric consumption of 6 of these is less than one of the 50w lamps they replaced, the savings are worthwhile. At £1.50 each they are also excellent value, they stay cool when turned on and they look good even turned off. I would just sound a caution to ensure you order the correct 'whiteness' rating. My 4000k equivalent are much whiter than the ones they replaced and as bright and white as I would want. Maybe I should have got the 2700k ones. The 6000k ones must be glaringly bright and blueish white.
