Practical techniques for aligning your mind and body towards your health goals, eliminating the psychological weight that hinders physical changes. A simple, daily practice to eradicate the deep-seated emotional reasons for your body's resistance to weight loss. Jon’s narrative is a testament to overcoming physical and emotional hurdles without the torture of dieting, leading to a miraculous 225-pound weight loss that defied all odds. His skin, once stretched over his obese frame, now fits his healthy body perfectly—proving that transformation is possible, and it can be permanent. It shows us that weight loss isn't about the food on your plate; it's about the thoughts in your head. Now you can join Jon on this life-affirming journey to reclaim your body and your life.

Review: Fantastic Stuff! - I purchased this book after seeing Jon Gabriel in the Hungry For Change film. He made a lot of sense in the movie and I wanted to pursue that information further. My background: I converted to a healthy lifestyle in July, 2012 after watching some great films like Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead, Food Matters, The Gerson Miracle, and others. The information in those films was kind of like an answer to questions that I've been asking myself for more than 20 years. I never trusted pharmaceutical companies in the first place and coming to terms with "food" companies profiting at the cost of consumers' health and patenting life so as to gain control of all food production infuriated and motivated me to change. Through my conversion, I was constantly obtaining new information and incorporating new foods into my diet, but it seemed like I was getting way too much information because I would read something and incorporate it and eventually forget that particular piece of information for the next thing I learned or read about. Furthermore, most of what I read told me that I should be feeling better and healthier and, while I lost over 30 pounds by November, I really didn't feel any better at all. That month, I decided to incorporate a gluten free lifestyle and stuck with it, straying very infrequently. While I lost another 20 pounds eating and living in this manner, I plateaued at that point and was not losing any more weight. Also, I still did not feel noticeably better and started to realize that there was still something missing, as well as that I needed to find something to bring everything that I had learned over the previous months together on a plan with which I could stick. Little more history is that I have suffered from anxiety for years. I had been on a couple of medications subscribed by my doctor that I didn't feel offered much help after a few months each, and I stopped taking them, assuming that the anxiety alone was more tolerable than anxiety and medications that were screwing with my kidneys and liver. It started to occur to me, even before reading this book, that perhaps I was worried about things that I could not control and that I needed to release that somehow. I was working on that personally when I bought and started reading The Gabriel Method. The book not only tied all my nutritional needs together, but came along at just the right time to provide me with some reasons for my anxiety that also helped me to alleviate them. I am so much happier emotionally now and that has led to a feeling of well-being that has spread to all aspects of my life. Here it is a few weeks after finishing the book and coming to terms with what I have learned from it and I am eating so much better now than I have ever in my life, I'm feeling better than I have in a very long time, and, while the weight has not changed much so far, I think that my body is still coming to terms with what I am providing for it and am looking forward to seeing another 30 pounds and about 6% of my body fat composition come off, which I am convinced is coming very soon. Just like Jon says in the book, my body wants to exercise, so much so that I am having to stifle that desire because I'm working out a bit too hard at this point. I cannot say thank you enough to Jon Gabriel and the Hungry For Change folks for turning me on to this information. I'll say this to end this novel: I read the sample, first chapter, online and it made sense to me to purchase the book based on that. The second chapter, though, actually had me exclaiming some interjections out loud for how much they made sense, and what should have been common sense at that. It's simply amazing how simplistic this stuff is but that nobody has put it into the terms before like Jon Gabriel explains it. I can certainly take what I learned from this book and make it work, but I am extremely motivated, not only by this but by everything else that I've learned previously. Know that it will take hard work and that not everybody has the will power to do this, but if you have tried the rest and nothing has worked for you, then the small price to pay for this book and the time that it takes to read is a tiny investment into what can really and finally change your life. Hopefully in a couple of months I will revisit this review and let you know about the incredible changes that I have experienced as more of my weight falls off and I grow into the body that Jon Gabriel has helped me to visualize. Thanks!
Review: The real deal, I see actual proof. - For me, this is working and I’ll explain why – keep in mind it is not a “get skinny quick” approach. Those never work in the long run. After years and years of battling with my weight it slowly became clear to me that it’s not ALL about my calorie intake and exercise habits; weight loss is equally as much about self-love, mindset, healing old wounds and habits: changing your ‘programming.’ I realized this a few years ago, but I had no way to logically approach it and just felt stuck - stuck in a pattern of numbing myself with substances and food, convincing myself that this is just the kind of life I am supposed to lead and eventually I surrendered myself to it. Enter Gabriel Method. I bought this book back in January and read it, digested it, sat with it – the theory makes PERFECT sense. Regardless of your religion, ethics, or background this theory makes sense for everyone. (I mention this because I read some reviews where people were saying they “couldn’t get on board” with this method because it goes against their religion – he talks about past lives very briefly but there’s nothing preachy about it – but I say people just find nitpicky ways to avoid this journey, you truly have to DECIDE that you’re ready. I know because I was there.) In short, John explains that our bodies are all biologically programmed to react to threats the same way we did back in caveman days: Being chased by a predator? You better be thin so you can run fast. Long cold winter coming? Gotta pack on those pounds and stay warm. These “programs” in our mind react to our modern stresses, and for some reason our bodies are thinking that fat equals safe. This theory resonated with me because I’ve always had a suspicion my fat was my own form of protection. Here we are, in May, 3 weeks ago I finally started doing the meditations daily as you’re supposed to – morning and evening (there’s an app to listen to the meditations guided, get it!) – I think I held off for so long because I “wasn’t ready,” but after falling sick and being bed ridden I didn’t have an excuse not to try it. After a week of the meditations I felt…… good. I felt uplifted, I felt more positive, I started feeling more in control over my decisions to say “no” to hundreds of calories of snacking during my work day. I also felt less compelled to drink, binge eat, etc etc. And I have felt these feelings get stronger every day as I continue. To me that is a MASSIVE benefit, just as big as the weight loss itself. I have not weighed myself because to me, the scale takes away from what weight loss is really about – feeling good. But I will say I had a doctor’s visit this past Monday and I was several pounds lighter than the last time I weighed myself. I even had a friend tell me he thought I looked thinner. And emotionally I feel lighter too. I definitely feel change happening, and I feel like I’m in a better mindset in general. So to me that is a win. My mother has also been doing these meditations, she came to visit me (she lives fara way) and I told her she looked thinner, she also attributes this to the Gabriel Method. I would highly recommend this book – and please download the app with the meditations, it makes it so much easier. Remember that you have to do SOME of the work in order to lose weight – and by that I mean you need to make time to do the visualizations. I held off for so long because I was being too lazy to set aside the time to do the meditations, but after having done them for a few weeks now I can’t believe I ever saw them as inconvenient. The evening meditation you can do while laying in bed at night and I often doze off to sleep which has *not* proven to be a bad thing. In fact I am actually grateful because I have a hard time falling asleep so these have been tremendously helpful. I do the morning meditations maybe 4 out of 7 days of the week, I can’t always get my act together in the morning but I try to do it as often as I can. Anyhoo, I hope that helped. Good luck!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazingly good, a breakthrough but I could not get the CD
*by S***N on April 14, 2009*

I loved the book since the begining and I even bought additional to give to friends. Its a very candid and heartfelt personal story and he covers all the possible topics for being at peace with yourself and your body, including not only physical but mental and spiritual as well. Its a very comprehensive story and I believe is a breakthrough because its not a diet book, its a book to liberate you from dieting and find peace. However I asked for the CD on-line and I did not get it. I ordered the book from Australia in order to get the CD because the CD is a fundamental part of the program and Jon has this beautiful loving voice.
