Sadly though as per instructions i treated it with a leather water proofer and as i was doing so i noticed that on the underside of the rim the leather has like a razor cut going in at an angle but does not go all the way through, just causes the leather to be slightly thinner. So as i had all ready treated most of the hat i am stuck with it. however this said i cant help but still love the hat and wear it everytime i go out. keeps the sun off, keeps the rain off and with the strap it doesnt blow off. Just disapointed about the damage. If these are seconds as someone stated then it needs to be made clear in the description otherwise they need to be more thoroughly checked before being shipped to customers. But like i say i still love the hat and i feel i have been as fair and honest as i can be. Oh nearly forgot to say, its nice and comfortable too.
