Call me girly but I liked the idea of having pink salt in my grinder – am sure my husband doesn’t agree but quite frankly its beautiful to look at and more importantly I think it is lovely tasting salt. The size of the granules are perfect for my grinder as well. They are between 2 mm and 5 mm and so are quite coarse but I find that’s the best for my salt grinder. I also have been using them in cooking as well as you get a lovely big bag of them. They are a light pink in colour which apparently means they are a purer crystal salt. They are additive free and organic and 100% Pure culinary salt with nothing added. With preserved purity for over 250 million years along with its distinct flavour and diverse mineral elements Himalayan Pink Salt is the most treasured of salts among a wide range of people. The minerals found in Himalayan salt are what makes it pink, iron and potassium taking up most of the mineral content and an array of up to 82 other minerals. Also you can add 400g to a regular bath for sustained detoxification or 950g to a bath once a month full detox effect but I haven’t tried that as I don’t like baths. I received Saltan Himalayan Salt 950g COARSE (2-5mm LIGHT PINK) Crystal Pink Salt at a discounted price in exchange for a review which was to be honest and unbiased.
