I saw GEEKO 77" super compact that holds 17lbs, $79+ a discount at checkout, I wouldn't spend a ton unless you just want to, and I'd be careful going much lower than the $70 range, you'll just upgrade anyway. If $ isn't an issue I'd find an Induro used on eBay, or closeout here. AMT series are Beasty. This item I loved, It is really a nice specialty item, a very thin, { exactly like 3 ARCA Swiss QR plates but only the bottom has the vgroove}. If you seen the raves over Z plates , ........ picture removing the base and adding a vgroove QR plate. So the camera can be big or small, although I've found a midsized body is best, and the TRIPOD HEAD is most important. I suggest not attaching direct to center column, you'll need a head, but they're incl with above deals. And As long as your tri, does standard 90* out at legs, and the column either reverses or tiltlocks, *** or you use a head that gives great adjustment + extension too, this z plate will work out well. ** NOTE: Some other z plates use Alan screws to keep the joints tight, most have moved to thumb screws, ( as they loosen quickly. However this plate uses Rosetta gears {tiny but they work}, so if you tighten the thumb screws once in the position you want, it's not moving. The teeth on a rossetta joint, gear, bind because there's no friction, the lock into opposing teeth, as two washers in the case, with 'teeth' in them face each other on all 4 joints. Great design, &, it can be used so many ways. **Q: Will this work with a canon eos rebel t100 camera?** A: It will work for any DSLR or Mirrorless camera.
