A: It's a brilliant bag and very versatile, best I've ever used. But, I have a XJR1300 which it sits on like a dream. I would say it would fit, but be a little big and feel bulky on your bike. I've just done Spain and France with it .. 5 star product

A: You’d need a heat shield still.

**Q: Do youneed a rear rack for these to tie on at the rear**
A: No rack needed. You will need somewhere to tie some straps to, but the bags don't have to sit on a rack. If they sit on body work they will mark the paint after a while.

Just completed a 2000 mile trip off-road around France and Switzerland through rivers mud snow you name it and not once any water getting into the bags I also came off the bike at least 10 times and still no damage to the bags.
