My wife and I used them for years on our flights and thought they were pretty effective. I found these on Amazon and thought they would be worth a shot based on their affordability and the reviews I read from previous purchasers. We just used them on vacation and could tell immediately that we made the right choice. They have excellent sound quality, were comfortable to wear, and cancelled the airplane and people noise far better than our old SONY earphones. We can't imagine anything doing a better job. They come in a great protective case, making them easy to carry in our carry on bags. The mic in this one is separate, on the cord device similar to what is used for smartphone's earbuds. Unfortunately, it doesn't even work with mine. It sends some clicking signal when I press its buttons but it's hopelessly silent. It's a pity given that otherwise I like the noise cancelling feature (not complete silent, but pretty good) and comfortable fitting of these headphones. The frequency range starts form 23-26 Hz and virtually ends at about 12kHz. Good but I'd not call how it sounds a deep bass, you can hear it but it doesn't really touch you.
