## Description

This 10' by 1-1/2" insulation strip with a peel off, self-adhesive backing is ideal for forming a smoke and gas tight seal between a fireplace insert and existing masonry. For the best performance, replace insulation every time the insert is removed for cleaning.

Review: Very happy, no issues, & I recommend. - I used this to seal my fireplace insert just around, but under the edges so it would be hidden. Yes, it can separate or rip easily as most reviews state, but mine did not as I knew to be gentle & take my time. The backing to peel for the strip can be difficult, but it wasn’t for me as I have fingernails. The fit was perfect. It was easy to use. Once the product “puffed up,” I could easily still squeeze it behind, making a perfect seal. The stickiness worked well for me as I was placing it onto metal. Many reviews scared me, but if you take your time & be gentle, you should have no problems. It definitely sealed my wind draft coming through. Recommend this product.

At first, I was wondering how I was going to attach the insulation to the doors/fireplace but, lo & behold, I was please to learn something I did not know when I originally purchased the insulation - my fault as I didn't fully read the description- the insulation is already equipped with an adhesive which easily & firmly attached to the metal framing of the glass doors. Albeit the backing of the tape was very difficult to separate from the adhesive, once removed, everything worked better than expected!

One the glass doors is out of alignment. Played with the screw adjustments and improved it slightly. Not that noticeable and not worth replacing it. Otherwise it looks good. It definitely is a 2 person installation.
