Review: Lovely to hold and to look at - I had a clutch pencil that my dad gave to me when I was a small boy, it was orange, plastic and rescued from a drawing office bin. Thirty years later and feeling the need for another writing implement of this sort, I decided on a Fixpencil as it looks amazing, feels great in the hand and has the nice heritage backstory. This will be a fixture in my pencil case for a long time.

**Q: Which cap color does it come with?**
A: I don't know. There are blue, red and yellow.

**Q: What is the material of the pencil?**
A: It feels like aluminum; some models are smooth other have a rough texture for the bottom inch and a half. These are really great pencils for writing or drawing

**Q: what is the difference between a product marked 22 and a product marked swiss made? Can't I choose the cap color?**
A: After having bought this, the cap color was the same Red as the other. The only one that has a different cap is the .7mm mech pencil.  The cap is chrome. All Caran D'ache products are made in Switzerland.

**Q: I want the pencil completely black cap, how do I order?**
A: There is no custom color option. The cap will be red.  However, there is nothing preventing you from painting the cap black when you receive it.

for a long time I used a very fine fixpencil from my mother, she had it for more than 20years and works like a charm, I love that pincel. I use it since 2007, it’s similar to this one but with a yellow head. But last week I decided to buy a new one and I found this one! It arrived today! It’s pretty much the same! And very happy with it! I think it will last forever. And I will finally give the one I had to my mother. I attached a photo with both pencils. (The only think that I am not fan about is the fact that this new pencil has the “caran d’ache” under the steel clip... )
