Review: Versatile Light Box - A Valuable Tool for Your Arsenal! - As a retired professional photographer, I was surprised at the evenness of the lighting in this Light Box. These LED strips work beautifully and allow me to avoid having to set up my lights! Easy to use with a variety of background colors, this Light Box is now a very handy tool in my arsenal. The tremendously inexpensive cost made it even better! Photography equipment is rare below fifty bucks! I paid $23.99 plus tax for this. The trick to product photography is getting the evenness of the background. There should not be a seam where the vertical back wall meets the floor. This light box works with fabric panels of various colors with Velcro tabs to achieve that look. They attach in the corners at the top of the back wall and drape diagonally down to the corners at the front of the floor. (For me, I use a little stand to place my product on to elevate it off of this panel.) The LED lights are all on the ceiling shaped into a box around a 4-inch diameter hole in the center (more on the hole below). Three walls and the ceiling are lined with a textured silver reflective material to scatter the light. The back wall and floor are black, assuming that you will use the colored fabric panels (as discussed). A power cord extends out of the box and plugs into a 24-watt power supply. There is a rheostat dial on the power supply to turn the lights on and off. The dial also allows you to adjust the brightness of the lights. For traveling, this light box folds down to appear more like a portfolio. Everything stuffs inside it. The power cord extending from the roof is about 4 inches long. It does not retract. You can either leave it dangling or route it into the four-inch covered hole and secure it with the Velcro hole cover. The power supply and cord will store inside the collapsed box. Finally, there is a strap handle for carrying. There are two openings to work with. First, the front obviously - with two options. When expanding the box, you can leave the front panel open (but no light will be reflected to the front of the product - all light comes from the ceiling.) or you can connect all four walls of the box and then open a 6x6 inch square opening in the center of the front wall for your camera or additional lighting/effects. Second, in the middle of the roof, there is a 4-inch diameter hole covered by a Velcro panel. The LED light strips border that hole shining down. I guess you could shoot downwards onto your product with all of the LED lighting blasting it from the camera's direction. Or you could add your own lighting to enhance the LED lights or add a colored light. The hole on the top may also be to add effects, such as "falling show" or mist from above or some sort of cucoloris effect (gobos, cookies) with patterned shadows. Perhaps once you have everything set up - your camera, the product, the lighting, etc. - you can make small adjustments of your product placement. The hole is wide enough for your hand to reach in. Bottom line, this ceiling/roof hole gives you options! Everything about this little light box is great, especially the price. I highly recommend it! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATE: I still love it but, after shooting some, it's not professional grade - but it can be. In the picture with the guitar pedal, you can see the light falling off behind the product (a guitar pedal). It should be consistent. This is because the background panel arches too abruptly transitioning from the back wall to the floor. In the picture showing the interior, you can see that, at the top, the background panel bows forward slightly interfering with the LED lights. This leaves a gray void on the back wall of the panel. It should be consistent lighting. Sure, it will be much brighter at the top but that's not in the shot. It's at the bottom where the back wall should not be darker than the back floor. The Cause? The back panel is slightly too long and is actually just wedged between the seam between the back wall and ceiling and the seam between the front wall and floor (not visible). This forces the abrupt bowing at the midpoint (where the bottom of the back wall meets the back of the floor). Also, the panel was shipped folded. The front of the panel is smooth and reflective. That back of the panel is slightly rough and less reflective. I might try flipping the panel to overcome the bowing from shipping. This might even out the light. My "plan B" is to actually place one Velcro strip horizontally along the top of the back wall and another along the front of the floor and then place matching Velcro squares in the corners and middle of the back of the panel. Before that, I'll cut an inch off of the length of the panel. This will make the panel stretch making the bow more gradual. Objective: Consistent background light - no shadows. Also, in the interior picture, you can see that all of the LED lights are on the ceiling. You can also see the 4-inch access hole and silver ceiling and sides. In the picture showing the front square opening, you can see that the front access cover flips upward but has no intentional securing. It will not stay up on its own. I had to pin it down with the 4-inch hole access cover. Another modification with Velcro needed. In the picture showing the circular opening (looking down on the top), you can see the same issue with the cover to the 4-inch hole. There's no way to secure it when open. It wants to flop back in place. Here, I've pinned it open between the back of the light box and the ceiling to the bonus room. I won't always have that option so, yet another Velcro job is needed. With these adjustments, I think I can get the professional look of even lighting. It's still very affordable so I can't complain. For most uses, it's fine as is.
Review: Solid, works picture perfect, bargain priced - Picture perfect for smaller items like cameras, lenses, jewelry and other smalls. Sample pic is first shot (yeah, I didn't dust it off for the picture). Equipment doesn't cost you money, it makes you money. Bargain priced and solid construction.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bigger Than Expected and Great for Clean, Consistent Photos
*by E***S on December 6, 2025*

Bigger Than Expected and Great for Clean, Consistent Photos I’ve been using this 20×20 Raleno light box for photographing items I sell and review, and it’s been a really solid upgrade from the smaller tents I’ve used in the past. The extra space makes a big difference — I can actually fit medium-sized items without feeling cramped, and it’s easier to control angles without bumping into the sides. Setup is straightforward once you do it once. The Velcro seams are strong, which is good for stability, but they do take a little extra effort if you’re constantly opening and repositioning things. The built-in LED strip gets impressively bright, and the dimmer gives workable range, though I tend to stay in the upper half of the brightness settings for clean product shots. The included diffuser softens things nicely, especially for shiny objects. The six PVC backdrops are one of the standout features for me. They’re wipeable and don’t wrinkle like paper, so switching colors for different items is simple. Just be aware that in certain shooting angles — especially overhead — you may still catch a seam or the bottom edge in your frame, so a little cropping or repositioning helps. The fold-flat design is convenient, though the loose backdrops don’t really store neatly inside once it’s collapsed, so I keep the box it came in to hold everything together. Build quality feels sturdy and the lighting is even, which shows in the final photos. Bottom line: A very capable, spacious light box with strong, even lighting and useful included backdrops. A few design quirks, but overall a dependable choice for clean product photography.
