The high grade pencils, ideal for professionals and learners alike are gentle on the paper surface avoiding scratching and can also be erased with ease with a simple eraser or putty rubber. ARTISTS’ FINEART GRAPHITE PENCILS Package contains 12 pre-sharpened graphite pencils . Made of lightweight wood and superior leads of finely ground graphite and clay which are break resistant. Hexagonal design gives a comfortable grip. Pencils of degrees of B - 10B, 8B, 7B, 6B, 5B, 4B, 3B, 2B , B B grade means the core has more graphite, and will make a bolder, darker line, and also be a little smudgier than a light pencil. Bolder pencils, such as B to 10B, are great for loose, expressive sketching or shading. Bold pencils are going to be very soft, allowing you a lot of line variation in your sketching. They also smudge very well, which is great for all shading techniques. Pencils of degrees of H - 2H , H , HB An H grade means the core has more clay, and will make a lighter, finer line, and will be less smudgy than a dark pencil. Harder pencils, such as H to HB, are great for very light sketching, like drafting an outline of something before you go over it with something bold, like a dark pencil or a pen, or for laying out a sketch before you paint over it.
