It is lighter than I expected, which makes it easy to handle, but it is extremely sturdy. Its solid surface won’t harbor bacteria and it is much easier to clean than my wooden one. It is also lighter and easier to use than my marble one. One of my favorite things about it is that you can pop it in the freezer or fridge to chill it so that pastry won’t stick, and at 16 inches, it is long enough to handle even the largest pie crust. I would order it again. ### ⭐ Not tapered at the ends *by H***N on October 21, 2018* Neither ends of the pin are tapered as advertised. I used the digital caliper and measured three different points at the tip and three more points about 3 inches from the tip for each end and all measurements were about the same.Update: received a defective pin.
