Review: Need Z-Wave? This is your new antenna - I've recently decided to smarten up my dumb home. In my research it appears that Z-Wave is more secure for security related devices when running my Home Assistant. So I purchased this antenna to help connect my security based devices. The antenna was very easy to setup. The range and power are fantastic. It's far superior to my zigbee range, and the signal is very stable. The connection and setup were both very easy as well. However, the amount of end points I can attach is a little lacking so I am using both protocols.
Review: Plug and Play - I plugged this straight into my Mac Mini and it was recognized instantly without driver, just pure plug-and-play. Home Assistant (Virtualbox) picked it up via Z-Wave JS without a hitch. My house is two stories with a decent-sized backyard, and this single stick handles everything. Even my furthest outdoor sensors stay connected with zero latency.

**Q: Is it backward compatibility with zwave?**
A: Hi Sujan, yes it is! All Z-Wave is backwards compatible, that's the beauty of the protocol.

**Q: Will this work with Raspberry Pi 4 running OpenHab?**
A: Other users have confirmed the S2 Stick works fine in that set up.

**Q: Can i use this as a repeater in a powered usb port?**
A: All USB ports are powered though some do not support data. The device is a USB Type A stick that adds a Z-Wave radio to a computer. It's intended to be the master controller for a Z-Wave network. That's how I'm using it. I think there is a way to set one as the master with 2 on a network but don't know how to do that.

**Q: Does this product work with zigbee**
A: No, this is a dedicated Z-Wave USB Stick only.

Bought this to put in my personal Home Assistant setup and I’m not disappointed. I used it in both a Home Assistant Green and a self-hosted version. No compatibility errors and everything has synced very easily. Highly recommend. The distance is crazy as well.
