He likes the camo, I like the price. I've played with and I own several higher end cues, so I wasn't expecting much when I ordered this. I just knew I needed a cue that would aid him in getting better but wouldn't cost so much that I would cry when he broke it. This cue fit the bill perfectly. I've even played a few games with it and all things considered it plays really well. The shaft has more of a European taper to it. If your kid needs a cue or you need a short cue because your home table doesn't quite have the room around it that it needs then this would be an excellent choice. I can't make claims about every viper cue but this cue has stayed straight for more than a year now and it is often leaned against a wall for weeks at a time. For the price I really have nothing bad to say about this cue. Space is somewhat cramped on the sides of my table and I bought a 48" Viper for those side shots. I liked it so well that my two grandkids each have their own personal stick and I have two others for myself and other players. I now prefer using the 48" Viper for every shot except the break. So if you are following my story, I now have four of the 48" sticks, each with a different wrap or color. Though they all look different, the quality of wood and parts seem to be identical. -If you're looking for a 48" cue, I think you will be pleased with any of the Viper offerings.
