## Description

From the manufacturer

Review: Pop up pirate gets a Super Mario makeover — and the kids absolutely love it - If your little ones are going through a Super Mario phase right now, this game is an absolute no brainer — a brilliantly themed twist on the classic pop up pirate format that feels fresh and exciting for Mario fans. The design is a real highlight. The iconic green pipe and Mario figure are faithfully represented and immediately recognisable, giving the game an authentic Super Mario feel that kids who love the franchise will instantly connect with. The sticker application onto the coloured keys adds a fun personalisation element during setup — a nice little activity in itself before the game even begins. Gameplay is refreshingly simple to follow. Push the Mario figure down and twist until it clicks — the randomiser changes the key slot each time, keeping every round unpredictable and exciting. Instructions are included for anyone who needs a little guidance, though the format is intuitive enough that little ones can pick it up quickly. Whether it's a gift for a Mario obsessed child or a fun addition to family game night, this is a charming and well designed game that puts a smile on faces from the very first round.
Review: If they like Mario, this makes a simple game more exciting - If you are wondering whether the Super Mario theme adds enough to a classic pop-up board game, yes. The character appeal makes children want to play before the game has even started. It is easy to understand, quick to set up, and has that simple suspense where everyone is waiting for the board to pop. That makes it a good family game for younger players without needing a long explanation. My tip would be to keep the pieces together in the box straight after playing, because small game parts always vanish. Simple, fun and five stars.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this good for 5 and 6 year old kids?**
A: I would say no. I bought this for my P2 class to play with, moost of whom are 6. They quickly figured out that putting a sword in the same hole causes the pirate to pop up. It does not change each time you play, so pretty limited.

**Q: Is it dishwasher safe?**
A: Although all the components are plastic I would not advise you put the item in a dishwasher as it may warp the product

**Q: Is this suitable for a 3 year old boy? Thanks**
A: Absolutely! I bought it for my three year old son. Focuses on taking turns, motor skill improvement, learning colours, etc. My older children 7 and 8 love this game as well.

**Q: How much does this toy weigh?**
A: Hello customer, it's very lightweight & weighs about 1kg?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If they like Mario, this makes a simple game more exciting

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great gift for young Mario fans!
*by M***O on 3 January 2026*

Purchased for a Mario-obsessed 2 year old and he loved it! Simple game, easy to play for toddlers and young children, but still good fun for all the family! The Super Mario Pop Up game is well-made with good quality material, looks sturdy enough to survive the antics of a toddler without breaking easily. Fun and exciting game for little ones – Mario suddenly leaps out of the pipe when triggered. A modern twist on old classics like Buckaroo. Good value for money, doesn't take up too much storage space (mid size box) but doesn't flat pack unfortunately. A great gift for young children who love Mario and board games! Bonus is it gets them away from the screens.
