It is supportive for my massive abdominal hernia which I have had for almost 4 years and has grown larger over that time (thanks NHS). It also helped relieve a bit of my constant backache associated with my huge stomach. I have been through a number of different belts over the past few years and this one is one of the better ones I've tried. It measured correctly at the given size of 53 inches long. My hernia at the biggest point is about 48 inches and I like the belt to be a bit bigger so I can have it doubled over the worst area so it gives more support.As I was happy I bought another one and that was a whopping 59 inches long! I sent it back thinking it was just a one off manufacturing mistake. I then ordered a 3rd one and that was also 59 inches long.
