**Q: Can you use this light WITHOUT the stand? I want to lay it in the floor.**
A: Yes, the light screws into the stand so if you don’t want the stand don’t screw it in.

**Q: Is there a way to turn the lamp on with the remote?**
A: I don’t know exactly. I Purchased two lamps. One worked with the remote out of the box. The other lamp worked for a short period with the remote. Then stopped working with remote. Tried to program with remote as per instructions and will not. I would send floor lamp back, but since it first worked when I bought, I have disposed the packaging in which it came. I also tried a new battery in the remote, but didn’t fix issue. Sorry I have no answer for you. I have one floor lamp that works with the remote and one that works with foot switch only. Would not recommend.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Not a bad light, but base does not match

Looks nice and is fairly bright. The design is pretty simple, perhaps too simple. My plan was to buy a pair and have the light emit towards the wall, although after executing this plan it now looks like I have 2 pieces of wood randomly standing in my living room so I turned them around and they look better with the LED facing forward, but this is subjective. I ordered the pair of lights in the natural finish, as i was going to paint them black to match my home theatre, but unfortunately it’s not a real natural wood finish the woodgrain is just brushed/printed on with a texture. From a distance you can’t tell it’s fake but repainting these may be a bad idea for the sake of losing the “wood” look. Lastly I found it odd that the base does not match the color of the tower part of the light. At first I thought I received the wrong color base but after the second light had the same color base I knew it probably wasn’t a mistake, so I may repaint these regardless so the whole light matches. Overall it’s not a bad light, the cord has a nice foot pedal, the remotes pretty nice (but has a weird battery), and the materials are good enough, but for the money I was hoping to get real wood and a matching base.
