You will need to have point on the bottom. **Q: is this suitable for 60mm diameter round wooden fencing posts** A: It will certainly do the job on 60mm posts, no problem. I used it on 100mm half rounded posts with excellent results. It is quite heavy so found it easier to use with two people as we had a lot of posts to install. **Q: What size fence posts can this be used for?** A: The diameter of this is 17cm (6.5") so I would recommend this is used for a maximum of 6". **Q: What material is this made from?** A: welded steel. it's very heavy. great bit of kit.
