However, although the stitcher does its job, unfortunately the needle becomes loose and twists around. It's been tightened as tight as possible. Could I get a needle with a larger diameter shank? The needle point does the job well, going through several layers with no problem. Just need it to stay put in the stitcher.

It was damaged at the seams and I managed to bring it back to life. I bought this item, watched a few videos on YouTube and got stuck in. Not the tidiest sewing job ever undertaken and I doubt my invite to Paris Fashion Week is in the post but it was very effective and the results are good and strong so hopefully it’ll last a few more seasons!

I don't want to give less than a 5 star review. However, although the stitcher does its job, unfortunately the needle becomes loose and twists around. It's been tightened as tight as possible. Could I get a needle with a larger diameter shank? The needle point does the job well, going through several layers with no problem. Just need it to stay put in the stitcher.

I used mine to sew up the seams of a heavy duty PVC tackle bag as used for Rugby and American Football training. It was damaged at the seams and I managed to bring it back to life. I bought this item, watched a few videos on YouTube and got stuck in. Not the tidiest sewing job ever undertaken and I doubt my invite to Paris Fashion Week is in the post but it was very effective and the results are good and strong so hopefully it’ll last a few more seasons!

It is easy to use! My only problem was that the needle slips sometime. A radial groove would solve the problem, and kept the needle in place.
