I own an A3 and bought another one as a gift, and purchased two of these A1's as additional gifts. I believe that all Aurora G4 flashlights have the same internals (minus some bells and whistles on the more expensive oens), but the differentiation between the A-models is the housing. For example, this A1 comes in a durable plastic housing, while my A3 comes in an all-metal housing. I personally prefer the metal, but the plastic is usually cheaper if you just need something that works and you aren't too worried about the durability. The bonus with the plastic is that they usually come in more interesting colors, so if that matters to you or whoever you're giving it to, this is a good pick. I've bought a blue and and orange one of these, both as gifts. As far as the light itself goes, it's crazy bright with a surprising amount of throw for such a small light. It's really convenient to keep on your keys at all times, and it's way better than a phone flashlight. I can't speak on long-term build quality and durability since I have only given the A1's as gifts, but the plastic felt sturdy and I doubt it would break with regular use. Surprisingly, the button does not activate on its own while it's in a pocket, either. The USB-C charging is also very convenient, and it seems to hold a charge for a really long time. I love these little flashlights and I've now bought 3 more to show people what they're missing - 2 A1's and 2 A3's. I personally prefer the tougher and better-feeling build quality of the A3, but depending on the price and your aesthetic preferences, these plastic ones are an equally good option. If you're shopping for a keychain flashlight, stop looking and just buy whichever Rovyvon Aurora you like best.
