I do still mix it with regard to a delicate wash. I also have the Mollys Suds Whitener for soaking whites - excellent stuff & again, no allergic reactions, will say I’ve left things soaking far longer than it says on packet but sons white socks were amazing afterwards 🤣 Original review: Bought because a family member has developed a skin allergy ( both son and me are allergic to most detergents but can use Ecover with no problem); however bought this to test with another family member. So far so good - & neither son or me allergic to it either. It smells nice but does not leave clothes smelling of peppermint so good. It is initially expensive, but you don’t need much so that probably works out. Minor problems - the scoop was buried so far down in the packet, had to decant into another container to find it! Not all clothes can be washed on long warm/hot cycles as recommended. However, after a little research on their website, I mixed a scoop with hot water & put the dissolved mix in my detergent drawer & found that worked well even washing on delicate cycle and/or 30 degrees. It also then rinsed out well. *when sprinkling directly in machine for a towel wash, I found it had not completely rinsed out and spotted white residue. However, that was my first attempt using so now I just mix it first to be on safe side. Bit of a faff but worth it. Clothes and towels etc have all then come out clean and smelling fresh. So far I’ve not used it with anything heavily soiled so can’t comment - but, in a house full of allergic people, none of us have reacted to it! I’d probably prefer to see more info on the packet ie you can mix a scoop with hot water & add to drawer for a lower temp/delicate wash etc - but there is plenty of info on website. Concerned about fading.** A: When I use Molly's with a dark load the wash water becomes very dark, blackish. I'm concerned Molly's is too strong and pulls the dye. I've observed this multiple times. I don't see this with conventional detergents. Because of this concern I will not use Molly's Suds on my darks. I did not see any fading but I bet if I continued using Molly's with my darks, I would. Maybe I have a bad batch but if not I think others would see the same thing if they checked their wash during the agitation portion of the cycle. Otherwise I think it is great for my whites. **Q: So I know what is not in it, but what are the ingrediants?** A: the ingredients in this detergent remarkablyl remind me of the popular diy natural laundry detergent that is easy to find recipe to make by yourself by googling.. It has very basic ingredients that you can use to make your own detergent.. if you look up online there are ton of recipes for this kind of detergent I follow one recipe that works like a charm..a nd is super inexpensive. 1/2 cup Epsom Salt 1 1/2 cups Sodium Bicarbonate (baking soda) 1 1/2 cups Sodium Carbonate (washing soda) 1/4 cup Sea Salt I don't like mine to smell but some people add this to make their to be scented.. just pick any of your favorite essential oil kind and you are set. To me it is an overkill as to me the less smells the healthier. 20-25 drops Essential Oils optional **Q: Is there a reason I shouldn't put this in the soap dispenser (my HE does accept powder detergent in dispenser)?** A: When I had resarched this a while ago, the best answer I found was it just doesn't dissolve as well. I add it to the tub first then add clothes. The only annoyance is the powder sitting on a dark item (like on a delay wash) can set in to that article of clothing- so that's why I add the powder first **Q: What are the ingredients...I don't see anything listed?** A: Here is the list: Ingredients: Proprietary blend of sodium carbonate from the Green River Basin in Wyoming, sodium bicarbonate, epsom salt (epsomite) and sea salt. While there are no perfumes, which are neurotoxic and petroleum based, there is a very minimal amount of organic peppermint essential oil.
