This season the Carringtons and Colbys had more drama and issues going on it's hard to keep up. Alexis goes on trial for the murder of Mark Jennings and Adam and Dex saves the day by playing exectives by day, and sleuths by night. Steven is torn between crazy Claudia and clingy Luke Fuller(Steven knows how to pick 'em.)and Adam begins his relationship with Claudia. Jeff has the case of the stupids as he mourns Fallon's death and hooking up with Nikki, a scheming widow, and then a chemistry-free relationship with Lady Ashley Mitchell. Amanda, who starts off as a mystery character-is finally revealed to be Blake and Alexis' daughter to fill the spoiled brat void that Fallon left. Dominique comes along as Blake's half sister and adds a fire to the show to rival Alexis and their scenes together is a delight and lastly, Rock Hudson makes his final acting appearence is Daniel Reece who owns the stable Delta Rho and always had a thing for Krystle and turns out to be Sammy Jo's long lost daughter, speaking of that "nymphet" as Alexis loved calling her in season 2, she devices a plan that will be prominent in season 6. And a wedding that ends badly for all involved. Season 5 had lavish clothes by Nolan Miller, exquisite jewelry and major stars(Billy Dee Williams, Ali MacGraw and Husdon.) Dynasty was style over substance but the audience did not care as it was escapism at it's best. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ BEST SEASON EVER *by V***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 17 February 2010* I'm surprised to see this released before region 1 so i'm hoping this is not a joke. Anyways the 1985 season was NO 1 in nielsen's ratings in america for the first and the last time it beat dallas and it had the greatest cliffhanger of them all. The moldavian massacre where all were shot in the wedding while farnswarth "dex" dexter tried to save them literally presenting the "hope" against the "evil". This cliffhanger had a great wedding music which was fit to the whole scene of the end finale. Season 5 presented new cast among them the beautiful princess of yougoslavia cathrine oxenbergh who was 24 at the time and she didn't mind going to bed with the sexy dex dexter played by a man 16 years older then she was. Mr. Michael Nader. For me those two WERE THE HOTTEST COUPLE IN THE SHOW with a great erotic chemistry and i loved watching them making love in seasons 5 and 6. The only other couples from soaps which had such chemistry in my opinion were HEATHER LOCKLEAR // JACK COLEMAN (Dynasty), PRISCILLA PRESLEY // PATRICK DUFFY (dallas), CATHRINE KELLY LANG // RON MOSS (Bold and the beautifull). Dynasty run for a full 9 seasons and had a reunion movie which i hope to get them soon on DVD. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but getting a bit over the top by this season. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on 20 March 2010* I love Dynasty and have season one, two and three. However these reviews saying that the wedding massacre is as good a cliffhanger as Dallas and who shot JR are in my opinion not correct.I have been pleasantly surprised by seasons one through three as I started watching season 4 onwards when it was on television. It is a good show but Dallas is in my opinion better. It is the best soap there has ever been.The acting in Dynasty gets hammier in seasons four and especially five. Although Dex's character is brilliant. And the storylines become more and more unbelievable - it is great escapist entertainment but not quite up there with the classic Dallas seasons.I also liked the Colby's and wonder if any of those will be released on DVD.
