Review: Good Results - I've used this hair dye in various colours over the years. I used 2 bottles this time as I have medium length locs. The method I used was to apply the 2 bottles to clean, DRY hair. Leave it on for one hour, rinse with lukewarm water, then pour diluted conditioner over the hair (2-3 squirts of conditioner in 200ml of water) and leave for a few minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water again, put on a towel for 15-30 minutes, and finally blow dry hair on the lowest heat. I did NOT use shampoo during the application/rinsing process, but I washed my scalp with shampoo 5 days later. The colour has taken really well, as my hair was a medium brown. The photos don't do it justice, but you can see the purple shine in good lighting. My hair looks shiny and healthy and the colour has stuck. Be aware the colour can transfer onto pillow cases, etc. until the hair is washed a few times. It is a messy process dying locs, and there will be some cleaning to do after. Also it doesnt say on the bottle but if your hair hasnt been bleached the dye wont stick at all. **Q: I have medium-ish brown hair. Will this product be noticeable or should I strip my hair colour first?** A: It would be noticeable it’s a very strong red I used it on black hair **Q: Is this a hair stain? A few people have recommended trying a hair stain rather than usual hair colour, it's just finding out which are stains** A: Nah, this isn't a hair stain. It washes out fairly easily. It's just that the colour is so intense it can stain the skin during dying your hair. :) **Q: Are there any ways to speed up washing it out ? Can only have it in for 2 weeks due to school rules** A: use water as hot as you can bear it, sulphate shampoos to wash your hair. It looks like a nice deep red, and lasts a lot longer then other dyes I have used. Whilst it's washing out, it goes through nice stages of colour, not a muddy red.
