The pole can be extended to a maximum length of 180 cm. If you wish to use the VELUX Telescopic Rod for your blinds, you can purchase a ZOZ 085 adaptor that is fitted onto the bottom of the blind. One size adaptor is needed per blind. Please note that the VELUX accessories are not compatible with Itzala branded blinds and roof windows and blinds from other manufacturers which are not VELUX. Also telescopic pole rod to operate window & blind?** A: No idea about the blackout blinds. Other velux blinds are excellent. Telescopic pole rod is just fine. **Q: Will this pole work with gpl m08 version? it also has a handle at the bottom which needs to be rotated by 90 deg** A: Unfortunately this pole is not compatible with GPL windows. Please contact Velux directly for a solution. **Q: I have a large velux window- roughly 1 metre by 1 metre.. Will this be strong enough to open it?** A: Our velux windows are 1 meter by 500 cms and the poll opens them easily. Works perfectly. Easy to adjust, light enough to cope with strong enough to do the job. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ just an aluminium stick with a plastic hook but does the job better than any DIY effort *by P***P on 9 August 2013* ok, so the price you pay for this, it is much cheaper than direct from Velux. However, even then, it is just an extendable aluminium stick with a plastic hook secured to the end. So you think it costs more than what it is really worth but after messing around beforehand with different combinations of metal poles and hooks, the DIY efforts never work as well as the official product. The plastic hook has a particular shape and grooves that do the job of opening and closing easily, without damaging the surrounding frame which is relatively soft pine that dents and chips easily if contact is made.
