The ball is silky. It is kind of harder to do lunar-like tricks if you are like me and not as good at balancing things but it’s definitely stickier than a lot of the silk kendamas. The Ken itself is kind of heavy I am used to lighter kendamas. So if you are making the switch to a heavier kendama it’s hard at first to get used to but you will start to get the hang of it. The ball is also pretty heavy. It comes with Plenty of stickers and it will also come with an extra string and a bead. It is the nova shape which personally I like because it’s kind of nice for tricks like juggling just so you don’t over-rotate it a lot. It has larger cups which is really nice because some kendama’s have smaller cups but this kendama it’s really easy to do cup tricks. The ball is also chip resistant, I have had mine for quite some time and the ball still is in great shape.
