If you go to the Martindale-Electric web site you can download the instruction sheet. BTW I have had one for two years, it has never tripped an RCD, why would it? If it detects voltage, it indicates that; if it detects continuity, it indicates that; otherwise it remains powered off. **Q: Does it come with batteries** A: Mine has two AAA -- LR03 (Not AA) batteries. **Q: Would this detect ghost voltges?** A: The VT25 will indicate in the presence of ghost voltages.
