Misleading posting. Book is in Italian which wasn't explicit on the listing. Book arrived with a different cover. Not brilliant.

Avevo già letto, in realtà provato a leggere, il libro anni fa, durante le scuole superiori, assegnato da un insegnate. Sarà stato proprio per l'obbligo di lettura, il libro non mi era piaciuto.Avevo poi visto il film. E mi era piaciuto molto.In una serata di pioggia di fine estate, anni dopo, ho rivisto il film, e ho deciso di rileggere il libro.Sono passati molti anni dalla prima lettura giovanile e, oggi, devo dire che il libro mi è piaciuto molto.Anche se, devo ammettere che se non avessi visto il film, avrei avuto difficoltà a seguire la trama, pur per quanto questa differisca dalla trasposizione cinematografica in molti punti.D'altro canto, alcune scene, le ho trovate addirittura più terrorizzanti ed emozionanti nel libro.Il finale, soprattutto, completamente diverso da quello del film, è stato veramente bello e sorprendente.Purtroppo in ritardo, vista la prematura scomparsa di Crichton, ho scoperto un autore notevole, dalla prosa scorrevole e dalle ricerche accurate.Sicuramente non mi farò mancare gli altri libri di questo scrittore.Consigliato, senza dubbio, innanzitutto agli amanti dei dinosauri e, naturalmente, agli amanti della buona lettura.
