(outdoor use)** A: You will have to seal them with a waterproof shrink wrap which I would double up or use a Wago Gelbox. Keep in mind that the Gelbox is only for low voltage applications. So, you can use it for the brake light. You can also use a waterproof heat shrink connector. **Q: will these pass electrical inspection? Will they pass with the NEC and most local inspectors?** A: Unless they are listed as an approved connection device in the NEC they will not pass inspection in commercial/residential applications for voltage over 48v. **Q: Where can I order the clear splicing 221s? It appears Wago changed the design and applied a opaque white plastic cover. The clear ones were better.** A: The clear ones are WAGO 221-2411.
