## Description

These 2-pin strip to wire connectors are solution for 8mm COB LED strip lights connection and extension needs, DIY extention for whatever the cable length you want to connect. NOTE: 1. Make sure your LED light strip is 8mm width COB strip lights with 2 Soldering Pads. Not work for 12mm or 10mm width led light strips. Installation tips: Strip End: 1. Cut the strip straight perfectly, then fully open the clip. 2. Insert the light strip, align the 2 Soldering Pads of the light-emitting surface of the light with the 2-pins on the connector. Then press down the transparent cover. Wire End: 1.Cut the desired wire length you need and separated the 2 wires around connection part. 2. Insert wires into the connector guide slot, make sure that positive and negative on the strip light surface are corresponding to the wires. 3.Close the transparent cap with a pliers and press down hard for several times. Ensure the metal joint pierces through the wire insulation as there are so many non-standard wires on the market! 4. reminder: no stripping of the wires. Review: I installed two different sets of COB LEDs using the 8mm Biantie connectors, and didn't have an issue with ANY of them. SO much better than my previous experience with LightingWill connectors, which always suffered from intermittent connections. One thing - Biantie says that the connectors can be pried open with the proper-sized screwdriver. That's a true statement, but what Biantie DOESN'T mention is that just because you can reopen the connectors DOESN'T mean that the connector can be reused after it has been "unsnapped". The tiny plastic tabs/nubs that lock the connectors in the "closed" position have a tendency to shear off when the connector is pried open, meaning that the connector won't lock "closed" again.

**Q: Do I need to strip the wire insulation before inserting it?**
A: No, please do not strip the wire. Simply insert your 20 AWG wire with the plastic coating intact. When you clamp the cap down with pliers, the internal blades cut through the insulation to contact the copper core automatically.

**Q: Why do I need pliers? Can't I just snap it shut with my fingers?**
A: Pliers are required. The connector is designed to bite firmly into both the wire and the LED strip to ensure a stable 5A connection. Finger pressure is typically not enough to force the piercing blades through the insulation completely.

**Q: Will this work with thin 22 AWG wire?**
A: We recommend 20 AWG wire for the most reliable performance. While 22 AWG is close, it is thinner and might not make as solid contact with the piercing blades, potentially leading to loose connections. For a safe 5A load, 20 AWG is the optimal choice.

**Q: Can I use these for waterproof strips?**
A: Yes, they fit IP65 silicone-coated strips. However, you must peel off the silicone coating from the copper contact pad area of the strip before inserting it. The connector needs direct access to the copper pads on the PCB.

**Q: Does the package include the wire?**
A: No, the package includes 10 pieces of the connectors only. This allows you to buy a spool of 20 AWG wire separately and cut it to the exact lengths your specific project needs, preventing waste from pre-cut wires that might be the wrong size.

I installed two different sets of COB LEDs using the 8mm Biantie connectors, and didn't have an issue with ANY of them. SO much better than my previous experience with LightingWill connectors, which always suffered from intermittent connections. One thing - Biantie says that the connectors can be pried open with the proper-sized screwdriver.
