Although the included 11-inch coil performs great, I find myself primarily using the M8 coil. I really like the target separation it provides, especially in trashy areas, and I am still impressed with the amount of depth I get from an 8-inch coil. A lot of my detecting is around lakes, beaches, and in the water, so having a detector that I can confidently take into those environments is extremely important.
