Review: Wind noise, but does the job - Five stars because easy to fit, according to roofers anyway. And no birds in the house or trapped in the chimney's so far which is great. What I didn’t expect was the wind noise echoing down the chimney when it’s windy, and the tinny tap tap of the rain drops hitting off top of the cowl. ( I’m in a windy area) and it keeps most of the rain out the chimney. I think a chimney sheep for now would help, also when my wood burner is fitted Im sure that will muffle the sound of the wind. Over-all it does its job well. Review: Proper review - Excellent fits most chimney pots as long as they are measured correctly. Less than half the price of others from the main suppliers and made exactly the same super easy to install. I would highly recommend. ## Features - NEW COLT COWLS ECONOGUARD BIRDGUARD SUITABLE WOOD COAL & OIL ECONG001 150 250mm Diameter - BUILDING MATERIAL - Colt Cowl ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B01MRFROQK | | Batteries Required? | No | | Batteries included? | No | | Best Sellers Rank | 101,434 in Garden ( See Top 100 in Garden ) 194 in Bird Feeder Accessories | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (698) | | Date First Available | 17 Sept. 2016 | | Guaranteed software updates until | unknown | | Item Weight | 750 g | | Manufacturer | Kaysted Ltd | | Manufacturer reference | ECONG001 | | Package Dimensions | 31.9 x 31.4 x 17.5 cm; 750 g | | Part Number | ECONG001 | ## Images ![NEW Econoguard Birdguard Suitable WOOD COAL OIL Econg001 150 - Diameter, 250mm, S - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51SPr-hKxLL.jpg) ![NEW Econoguard Birdguard Suitable WOOD COAL OIL Econg001 150 - Diameter, 250mm, S - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51f7MyQwLWL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wind noise, but does the job *by L***. on 25 August 2025* Five stars because easy to fit, according to roofers anyway. I ended up wiring it on to ensure did not blow off. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/51613073-new-econoguard-birdguard-suitable-wood-coal-oil-econg001-150-diameter](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/51613073-new-econoguard-birdguard-suitable-wood-coal-oil-econg001-150-diameter) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
